Over 90 km of cross-country trails (skating and classic) lead through the Ammergau Alps Nature Park in winter - most of them are both classic and groomed for skaters. Sunny round courses with entry points directly in the villages enable to start cross-country right from the doorstep of Your apartment. The “König-Ludwig-Loipe” (groomed only for the event week), on which the König-Ludwig-Lauf takes place every year, is also something very special, the largest cross-country ski run in Germany with 3,000 participants. From Oberammergau to Linderhof Castle, cross-country skiers can enjoy particularly delightful views on this trail. Due to the altitude, the trails in the Ammergau Alps are very snow reliable.
