When you come and stay with us you will really be able to switch off from the stress of everyday life and recharge your batteries! The village of St Oswald and the surrounding area are ideally suited for families with children and for nature lovers who want to spend delightful holidays far away from the cares of the modern world!
Our family-run and very child-friendly hotel is situated in a quiet and sunny location. Our large garden area has plenty of space for you and your children to relax in and it also includes a children’s playground, with toy tractors and a Smarakelbahn as well as a cosy garden pavilion.
Winter holidays:
Our local ski areas have everything which ski and snowboarding enthusiasts could wish for, whether you are beginner or an expert. The Lachtal and Hohentauern ski areas are just 15 minutes away by car.
There is of course also plenty here for cross country skiers. When snow conditions are good a cross country ski path runs right beside the hotel. There are also well-marked ski runs in Pusterwald and Hohentauern. This is the ideal starting point for ski tours of the whole area.
And if the sun refuses to shine you can always relax and spoil yourself in the Therme Aqualux thermal bath complex!
You can also go up to the Edelrautehütte, a beautiful Alpine refuge hut for walkers and hikers where you can have something to mobilize new energies, take the toboggan down into the valley again or take part in a walk by torchlight through our beautiful village.
Hiking tours and other excursions in summer:
In summer our region is the ideal starting point for lots of hiking tours and many other excursions. We even have walking sticks for hire.
We will help you make the best start to the day by providing you with a nutritious breakfast and welcome you home with a nourishing ravening meal when you return from your day’s activities. All our meals are made exclusively from local farm products.
We would be happy to let both children and their parents join in with the daily running of our farmyard. You can help us out when Hansi the rabbit and Rudi the guinea pig are waiting to be fed and made a fuss of. The calves always need fresh hay, the hens need to be fed and the cows have to be led in and out of pasture!
