Markstein ski area
The Markstein ski area has 13 runs for all levels, from beginner to advanced, served by 8 ski lifts.
The ski lifts are open every day from 9am to 5pm and also at night from 6pm to 10pm every Tuesday and Friday, on two floodlit runs, including the slalom stadium.
The Markstein resort has a special beginners' area for beginner skiers:
3 green runs and 1 blue run (special pass for the beginners' area).
The ESF also has a children's garden, which is open to children aged 4 and over.
The resort also has a special relationship with the sporting world, having hosted the Alpine Skiing World Cup in 1983 and 1987. It also has a slalom stadium, open to all, which was completely restructured in 2006 and hosts International Ski Federation races every year.
For even more thrills, the resort also has a snowpark and a boardercross.
A network of snow cannons ensures quality snow cover throughout the season.
A snowkite site on the Steinlebach meadows is accessible from the resort on foot or by ski lift.
