Deep breath, tension in the muscles and dynamic movements: This is pure cross-country skiing. On Melchsee-Frutt, a variety of cross-country trails are pulled into the snow, leading through a calm and atmospheric landscape.

On the circuit from Melchsee-Frutt to Tannalp and back, around 15 kilometres of well-prepared cross-country trails offer a varied experience.

Skating and classic style

The course can be run in skating or classic style. If you don't want to master the long course without a break, take a leisurely break in the idyllic mountain restaurant Tannalp. Less experienced runners will also be catered for. The frozen Melchsee is the ideal place for those who prefer a cross-country ski run without inclines and descents.

The trails are regularly groomed. However, preparation is not guaranteed at all times in the event of heavy snowfall.

A changing room with shower is available in the old mountain station of the Stöckalp-Melchsee-Frutt cable car.
