Informationen

In the heart of the Hautes Pyrénées, in the Vallée d'Aure, Saint-Lary is a family-friendly winter sports resort with an international reputation. It offers one of the largest ski areas in the French Pyrenees, spread over three interconnected sectors, with varying altitudes and exposure, for everyone to enjoy.

Choosing Saint-Lary also means falling under the typical, unspoilt charm of a Pyrenean village, situated at an altitude of 800 m, which has opted for the Family Plus label.

Saint-Lary is a synthesis of mountain life and Pyrenean scenery, a happy alliance between water, sun and the warm welcome of its inhabitants.

Saint-Lary is divided into 3 zones
The first, Saint-Lary 1700, is also known as the Pla d'Adet. This is the historic part of Saint-Lary located at the arrival of the ski lifts from the village and just in front of most of the high altitude accommodation. This area has recently been refurbished and is particularly suitable for beginners, families and children.

Saint-Lary 1900 "Espiaube" is an intermediate sector which starts at 1650 m. at the Espiaube car parks. It is both a transitional sector, with blue and red runs leading to the higher parts of the resort, and a more sporting sector with some very fine red and black runs, many of which are located in the forest on the northern slopes. But Saint-Lary 1900 also has some very long runs of over 3km, such as Mirabelle and Terranère, which are among the most popular in the resort. Mirabelle is served by 2 detachable chairlifts and a gondola, and has a pedestrian-accessible high-altitude restaurant halfway up.

As you cross the ridge line, you come to Saint-Lary 2400 "Vallon du Portet", a real gem as this high altitude sector, situated above 2,000 m, offers a wide range of slopes, optimum sunshine and a 360° view of the Pyrenees. You're right on the border of the National Park when you reach Lac de L'oule.
