The malga (or upland farm where cheese is made) has not existed for some time and can only the ruins remain, because of a large avalanche it would seem. The white ruins stand in the centre of a very special natural structure, a green, completely flat karst hollow, dominated by monte Geu, the Creta Forata and the western outliers of monte Cimon. It is closed on all sides except to the north where sprout the distant, towering rocky ramparts of Peralba and Chiadènis.
