On the easy, approx. 750-metre-long tour around the Alter Torkel in Jenins, you can learn more about the history and present of viticulture in the Bündner Herrschaft and the Chur Rhine Valley. The 8 information boards tell you, among other things, that wine has been cultivated in Graubünden since the Middle Ages at the latest. Or that over 50 different grape varieties thrive on an area of just 4.2 square kilometers. And that the color of the wine has nothing to do with the color of the grapes, but with the way they are processed.

The trail starts and ends at the Alter Torkel and leads from station to station on a path through the vineyard.
No special equipment is required for this circular trail. In dry weather, the trail can also be walked in low shoes.
Take the Maienfeld highway exit and then drive past Maienfeld in the direction of Jenins. The Alte Torkel is located between Maienfeld and Jenins on the Jenninserstrasse.
By public transport to the Postbus stop "Jenins Rathaus". The Alte Torkel can be reached from there in 2-3 minutes on foot.
Public parking lot (for a fee) on Jeninserstrasse between Maienfeld and the Alter Torkel. The Alter Torkel can be reached on foot in 2-3 minutes from the parking lot.
