The Erlebnisregion Graz can rightly be called a hiker's paradise. Hardly any other region offers such a variety of different landscape types and attractive nature experiences in the immediate vicinity of an international cultural and provincial capital. Every part of the Graz region exudes its very own charm. It's hard to believe, but in the Graz Adventure Region you can encounter marmots, chamois, Lipizzaner horses and the best views.

The idyllic Graz old town is best discovered "on foot" - e.g. as part of a culinary city tour through Austria's only capital of culinary delights or by climbing 260 steps up the Schlossberg to the clock tower, the landmark visible from afar. From there you can enjoy a magnificent view over the unique red-roofed landscape.

But if you want to go higher, you can reach the hikers' paradise of the Graz region just a few kilometres outside the city limits. From the Hebalm to the Gleinalm to the Schöckl, there are wonderful hiking tours that make the heart of every nature lover beat faster. The trails of varying degrees of difficulty are perfect for beginners as well as advanced and ambitious hikers. There are leisurely walks, mountain, hut and alpine tours, summit experiences, family-friendly themed trails, wild and romantic gorge adventures, trails along the water as well as pilgrimage and long-distance trails.
