The building

Our apartments freiraum are situated in a calm but central position in Matrei, surrounded by majestic mountain peaks, at the very heart of the High Tauern national park.

This holiday homes bring Austrian tradition and modern world requirements in harmony to fulfil the primal needs of human beings: ease, consciousness and authenticity. Natural, honest building materials coming from the national park region render this open space an authentic, warm ambiance to feel well, to relax and to dream.

The apartments

Our apartments offer our guests a high degree of comfort.

They are situated on the first floor with lift access. All bedrooms dispose of a satellite flat screen TV with radio and USB port. A sauna, a gas fireplace with remote control, a cosy living room and a completely equipped kitchen make this apartments the perfect setting to simply feel good! Underfloor heating throughout. Ski deposit with ski boot dryer on the ground floor.

They are located in a calm but central position in an independent building to the foot of the castle Schloss Weißenstein.
In 5 minutes by feet you can reach the restaurants, some shops, the bakery, the pharmacy, the banks or the tourist information in the heart of Matrei in East Tyrol.
