The Leutasch Fishery

The fishing rights on Lake Weidach and the Leutascher Ache are now owned by Dr. Thomas Angerer. He runs a quality fish farm recognized by the Chamber of Agriculture and specializes in the production of stocked and feeder trout. Brook and rainbow trout as well as brook char are bred. "Fish Roastery" - we will gladly grill your catch for you on site.

Wonderfully situated, you have the opportunity to fish here from the beginning of April to the end of October without advance notice for a small entrance fee. A fish test is not required, which is why the fishing pond is also very popular with beginners. If you don't have your own equipment, you can simply rent one from the rental shop. The lake is also excellent for fly fishing, as fishing is done from a 400 m long wooden jetty.

A special experience - ice fishing
In Leutasch, winter shows its most beautiful side: snow-covered forests and snow blankets glistening in the sun, framed by mighty mountains. Embedded in this winter landscape is the Weidachsee at 1123 m above sea level. Here, holes are drilled into the thickly frozen ice surface for fishing, where fishermen can then try their luck with the short ice fishing rod.

Cafeteria and fish shop
In winter, the small cafeteria with an open fireplace attracts freezing ice fishermen who can warm up with mulled wine and homemade hot drinks after a successful catch. In summer, you can relax on the spacious sun terrace while watching the fishing from a shady distance.
If you like fish but don't want to go fishing yourself, you can stock up on fresh trout and char in the farm store.
Good luck!
Please note that this is not a bathing lake!
