The tour begins in Elm at the mineral spring with a gentle ascent. The route climbs steadily on asphalt roads and natural paths up to the edge of the forest to the Berghotel Bischofalp. There, the restaurant and panoramic terrace with seasonal and regional specialties invite you to linger. The descent leads along a beautiful path via Hengstboden back to Elm. Great views of the Hausstock, Tschingelhörner and Piz Sardona await you throughout the tour, as well as an impressive view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona with the famous Martinsloch.

Normal bike equipment. Functional clothing is an advantage, as a long ascent is followed by an equally long descent.
Ride with foresight and behave respectfully towards other recreationists and road users.
From Zurich or Chur, take the A3 to exit 44 (Niederurnen). Then take the main road to Glarus Süd and follow the signs to Elm.
Take the train to Ziegelbrücke and continue to Schwanden. From there you can only get to Elm by bus.
Bikes can easily be transported on the trains to Schwanden. Please make a reservation for bus transportation to Elm.
Free parking is available at the valley station of the Elm cable cars.

The Berggasthaus Bischofalp provides an e-bike charging station.
Chargers for the most common systems are available. If you want to be on the safe side, take your own charger and battery key with you.
