The world-famous waxworks of Madame Tussauds is a highlight in the Vienna Prater.

71 wax figures can be seen at Madame Tussauds on Riesenradplatz in the Vienna Prater. Emperor Franz Joseph and his Sisi, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Falco, Maria Theresa or Gustav Klimt are just some of the local personalities and historical figures you will meet on 2,000 m² of exhibition space (spread over three floors). In specially created interactive settings, you can also take part in an intelligence test against Albert Einstein, conduct the Danube Waltz with Johann Strauss or try to defeat football legend Hans Krankl on penalties.

The international celebrities are also strongly represented: Johnny Depp, Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson, Angelina Jolie or Michael Jackson "represent" the show business. Mahatma Gandhi or Nelson Mandela represent world politics.

For more than 150 years the wax figures of Madame Tussauds have fascinated. The creation of a figure takes three to six months. More than 500 precise body measurements and about 200 photographs are necessary to capture every feature of a person as faithfully as possible. A total of 800 working hours are invested in the creation of each of the wax figures, which cost around 200,000 euros.
