Romantically wild Alpsee

From the Youth bus stop, follow the Water Pipeline Path towards Bleckenau. Soon you will reach the junction to the right to the Upper Winterzugweg. Here begins a beautiful hiking trail with gentle ascents and descents always above the Alpsee through shady forest with gnarled trees. You will pass the Mary Beech with an image in honor of the Mother of God and after 100 meters turn slightly right towards Israelit, a peculiar stretch of rock walls. Hebrew characters are said to have been discovered on these walls. Via the Gnome Trail you go down to the Alpsee. Now you have a choice: either you go right around directly back to Hohenschwangau or fully circle the lake.
