Hollenthon lies in the middle of the hills of the Bucklige Welt, in the district of Wr. Neustadt-Land. The highest point here is the 881 metre high Stickelberg.

There is a weather theme trail, a fruit theme trail and the annual "Radl-Roas " takes place here: You start the day with scrambled eggs cooked by the Mayor and music, visit many excursion destinations by bike free of charge and celebrate the kilometres ridden together when you get back.

Hollenthon is a well-known weather platform in the Bucklige Welt region and the sunniest municipality in Lower Austria, and even in the whole of Austria in 2023!

Hollenthon is also home to many sights and natural monuments: chapels, shrines and wayside shrines dating back to the 13th century, as well as the Türkenhöhle cave and the Hanserlstein.
