Lusern

Lusérn is the village of the ancient language, the Cimbrian (Cimbro in Italian), which is still spoken by its inhabitants. Here, time has stopped to give visitors a unique experience, immersed in a natural setting of immense beauty.

Luserna/Lusérn, a small mountain village at 1.333 m of altitude, is now the last linguistic minority in which the Cimbra language, an ancient Bavarian, is still spoken by 90% of the population.

It is located on the central-southern border of a large mountain pasture spreading in the areas of Folgaria, Lavarone and Passo di Vezzena (1,402 m a.s.l.) where, through the narrow Val d'Assa, you arrive to Asiago.

The territory is characterized by natural terraces and stretches on the underlying Astico Valley, creating deep valleys and ridges, with a difference in altitude up to 600 m.

The landscape morphology presents peaks that hardly exceed 2000 meters in height.

Lusérn is developing its particular tourist feature: in the summer it is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday, fully immersed in the nature and gastronomic tastings; in winter it offers an interesting strategic location with the easy reachable Millegrobbe cross-country skiing center and Lavarone Ski Area.

Lusérn, a millennial open range, has been able to preserve and pass on the ancient traditions. Today Today the village has a rich outdoor offer made up of hiking routes, bike trails and a cycle path that runs through extensive pastures.
