Skijaško područje Stari vrh

Stari vrh Ski Resort is a central tourist area for winter sports in the Škofja Loka hills, located 35 km from Ljubljana. The skiing area, extending from 580 m to 1217 m above sea level and covering 55 hectares of pistes, is suitable for all skiers – from absolute beginners to those with some experience, as well as for advanced skiers and professionals. The ski centre also offers activities for non-skiers. The Snow Park boasts a toboggan run, a “bobsleigh” track for tubing on tyres, a small jump ramp and various outdoor toys for children.

Those who enjoy hiking can explore numerous hiking trails that lead to surrounding hilltops, villages or tourist farms where hikers have the opportunity to witness rich cultural, ethnological and natural heritage of the region.

Cosy and charming tourist farms in the surrounding areas offer a rich culinary experience and provide tourists with accommodation in rooms and self-catering studio apartments. There is also a guesthouse at the top chairlift station where skiers can enjoy culinary specialties and get refreshed before, during and after skiing.
Close to Ljubljana, Stari vrh is a great solution for a day trip and even more interesting for night skiing on its illuminated slopes. Stari vrh may not be one of the biggest resorts, but with its wide range of services and facilities it can easily compete.
