Due to its geographical location, Asten is an excellent starting point for various undertakings.
For example, the Donau-Steig stage 03 leads from Linz to Enns directly past Asten since 2010.
The neighboring communities of Enns - the oldest city in Austria, St. Florian - Bruckner organ and tomb of Anton Bruckner as well as Linz - the capital of Upper Austria offer many cultural sights and can be reached from Asten within a few minutes drive.
Due to the direct connection to the Danube cycle path there is also no way around Asten for sporty tourists.
