Sights: Gothic pilgrimage church, dedicated to the Holy Trinity. A special feature is the 33 metre deep well inside the church, which can be visited. The many chapels and shrines in the municipality are also worthy of note. Almost every village has its own chapel.

The ‘Koaserin’ is a nature reserve The Koaserin area was declared a nature reserve by the Upper Austrian provincial government on 22 November 2004. The 282,626 m² area is located in the municipalities of Heiligenberg, Peuerbach and Neukirchen a.W. According to the province's nature conservation department, the Koaserin with its type of flood meadow, which has become extremely rare in Upper Austria, is a refuge for many animals and is home to a unique density of rare plants. Of the 265 flowering plants and ferns that have been identified, 43 are on the Red List of endangered species. 11 plants are partially protected and 6 are fully protected. With 86 bird species, the wet meadow area is also of primary importance as a habitat for birdlife. A third use it as a breeding ground, and the Koaserin is a favourite resting place for migratory birds.
