Skijaško područje Valmeinier - Galibier Thabor

Together with the neighbouring village of Valloire, Valmeinier forms the Galibier-Thabor ski area. The name of the ski area comes from the two three-thousand-metre peaks in this area. Valmeinier is a small village at 1,500 m with a high building station at 1,800 m. All accommodation here is directly on the piste very snow-sure already above the tree line.

Valmeinier 1800 is the last ski station to be built in the Maurienne: it only opened in 1986. At that time, it was already connected to Valloire. Today, both resorts offer 160 km of dream pistes for all levels. In the background, magnificent mountain panoramas with the Aiguilles d'Arves and the mountain ranges of the Ecrins and Vanoise.
