Wherever you are in Brixen, if you lift your gaze toward the sky, you’ll see the Plose. The mountain massif rising more than 2,500 meters not only dominates the basin of the former bishop’s city, it is also closely connected with Brixen itself: The new cable car, built in 2023, takes hikers up in summer—and enthusiastic skiers, snowboarders, sledders, and snowshoe hikers in winter—to the summit in just a few minutes.
Many winter hikes, sledding tours, and ski or snowboard runs have a common destination: a stop at one of the cozy mountain huts to enjoy an aperitivo with panoramic views or to refuel with a delicious lunch.

WINTER
The wide slopes on Plose's sunny slopes provide a true skiing experience. With numerous runs of varying difficulties, skiing here is a highlight for both beginners and pros alike. The legendary Trametsch descent, starting from Plosehütte at 2,446 m and descending 1,400 m over 9 km, is a must for skiing enthusiasts. The breathtaking views from Plose's sun-drenched slopes of the Dolomites make each ski day a special experience.

Sledding and Hiking
Casual sledders will enjoy the scenic sled hike to Rossalm. For those seeking an adrenaline rush, the RudiRun 4.0 and RudiRun 9.0 toboggan runs provide thrilling experiences.
THE PLOSEBOB Not just for sled enthusiasts, but for anyone seeking an adrenaline rush, the Plosebob is perfect. Securely positioned in closed bobs on a guided rail track, guests can choose between the "Hero" ride or a more leisurely pace. The track starts and ends at the Plose cable car mountain station, open in the summer and winter season. Those preferring to walk can explore winter hiking trails on Plose, with snowshoes or winter boots, enjoying the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites on foot.

Alpine Huts for Connoisseurs
Cosiness is paramount in the alpine huts, whether indoors or on sun terraces with breathtaking panoramic views. Culinary delights add to the comfort, providing energy and enjoyment for a day on the slopes.

SUMMER
Experience summer on the Plose! From action-packed mountain cart rides and the adrenaline rush of Plosebob to relaxing family hikes on WoodyWalk and scenic nature trails, there's something here for families, thrill-seekers, and nature lovers alike.
